Processing
Grind the ingredients into a fine powder. Place cinnabar on the southern side of a clay basin, orpiment in the center, magnetite to the north, azurite to the east, white quartz to the west, pyrolusite on top, followed by gypsum. Then add stalactite and realgar, cover with mica, and place a thin cloth underneath. Cover the top with another basin, seal it with a thick layer of sheep’s wool and mud, and build a three-cornered furnace. Burn it with aged reeds; it will be ready in one day. Take the fine powder that rises to the top for use.
