1 large aconite root (roasted until cracked, then peeled; Aconitum carmichaeli may also be used).

Processing

Cut the above ingredient into pieces the size of a bean.

Benefits

For extreme swelling and pain in the throat and larynx, where the voice cannot be produced, as well as for toxic obstruction of the throat causing the pharynx to close and making swallowing impossible.

Instructions for Use

Hold one piece in the mouth at a time and swallow the juices. Alternatively, coat a piece with honey, roast it, hold it in the mouth, and swallow the juices; when the sweetness is gone, coat it with honey again, roast it, and repeat the process as before.

Note

Avoid pork and cold water.
