Drug Formulation
Fresh white duck gizzard (1 liang), rhubarb (2 liang), gypsum (crushed, 1 liang), Anemarrhena rhizome (1 liang), fermented soybeans (1 sheng), ephedra (3 liang, knots removed), white parts of scallions (2–7 stalks), gardenia seeds (2–7), Scutellaria root (1.5 liang), licorice (3 fen, roasted).

Benefits
For hair loss. Heat attacking the chest and back, vomiting, restlessness, and oppression; falling into a deep sleep upon lying down; discomfort in the limbs when feeling hot; alternating chills and fever; and difficulty with urination and defecation.
Instructions for Use
Coarsely crush the ingredients. Pour 1 dou 2 sheng of boiling water over the duck to extract its essence; then use this liquid to simmer the herbs until reduced to 3.5 sheng. Strain out the residue, add the fermented soybeans, and boil for three more boils. Remove the soybeans. Take 1 sheng before meals.
