Chinese Name : 炼石散

Drug Formulation

Deer antler (calcined to ash) 8 liang, white Polygonum cuspidatum 3 liang, coarse yellow stone 2 jin.

Processing

Combine the ingredients with 5 sheng of good vinegar. First, heat the stone until it glows red, then quench it in the vinegar; repeat this process of heating and quenching until all the vinegar is used up, then grind into a fine powder. Add the powdered mixture of the other two ingredients and mix with the remaining vinegar until it forms a paste.

For abscesses on the chest or face that are as hard as a stone bowl and whose color remains unchanged.

Instructions for Use

Apply this mixture to soften the abscess; also apply it to the moxibustion site.
