Drug Formulation

1.5 liang of Schizonepeta, 10 small jujubes (roast these two ingredients first until their essence remains), 1 liang of ram’s beard (burn to ash, retaining its essence), and 2.5 qian of dried white alum (ground separately into a fine powder).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder, then add 1.5 qian of mercury oxide and mix thoroughly.
