Drug Formulation

1–2 pairs of goat kidneys (remove the fatty membrane and slice thinly), half a liang of aconite root (roasted until cracked, peel and navel removed, pounded and sifted into a powder), 1 fen of cinnamon bark (pounded and sifted into a powder), 1 fen of dried ginger (roasted until cracked, coarsely ground), 1 qian of black pepper (pounded into a powder),1 liang of Cistanche (soaked in wine overnight, wrinkled skin scraped off, pounded into a fine powder), 7 jujubes (boiled until soft, peeled and pitted, ground into a paste), and 3 liang of flour.

Processing

Combine the herbal powders, dates, and kidneys, mix thoroughly to form a paste, and knead with water to make dough. Wrap the mixture in several layers of damp paper and bake it in a fire of smoldering ash until the paper is charred and the mixture is fully cooked.

Instructions for Use

Consume on an empty stomach; after a considerable time, follow with 2–3 spoonfuls of rice cooked in warm water.
