Drug Formulation
1 qian of softened Xianhu, 8 fen of white Jiegeng, 1 qian of straight Fangfeng, 3 fen of Sichuan Duhuo, 1 qian of Beijing Peony, 5 fen of plump Zhimu, 5 fen of Schizonepeta spikelets, 6 fen of Perilla and Peppermint, 7 fen of Schisandra berries (roasted), 1 qian of Northern Bupleurum (roasted), and 5 fen of sliced Scutellaria (roasted).

Instructions for Use
Cut the ingredients into slices, decoct in water, and take while hot. For newly developed red eyes, taking 6–7 doses of the medicine will cure the condition without leaving any aftereffects. For recurrent cases—where wind-pathogen and accumulated heat have entered the meridians and flare up upon exposure to cold—take Jinye Decoction for over 10 doses, then switch to either a powder or pills for a 34-day course of treatment. Apply Yuhua Dan externally once daily, and the condition will be cured.
Note
For those with a deficient constitution, Jiajian Dihuang Pills should be taken on an empty stomach. After meals, take Jinye Powder; this method is most effective. If taking Jinye Decoction, it must be taken hot after meals. Take only one dose per day; do not increase the dosage abruptly, as this may damage the stomach qi. Continue treatment for 42 days, and the condition will resolve on its own. For conditions such as external eye disorders, which are often characterized by excess, do not indiscriminately administer tonic agents, as this may aid the pathogenic factors and cause significant harm.
