Processing

Grind the above ingredients into an extremely fine powder. Take one white-feathered, black-boned male chicken that has been specially raised for one month, ensuring it has not been kept with female chickens. At the time of preparation, kill the chicken by strangulation without allowing it to bleed. Dry it, pluck the feathers, and cut it open to remove all impurities from the intestines and any undigested food from the crop.Wash the yellow membrane inside the gizzard with wine; return all internal organs to the chicken’s abdomen. Do not expose to fire. Place the chicken in a jar, add 2 jin of wine, seal tightly, and simmer in a double boiler until tender. Remove, cut off the clean meat, and pound it into a paste. Separately, roast the chicken bones with clarified butter and the original broth or wine until crumbly, then grind into a fine powder. Mix this powder thoroughly with the herbal powder prepared earlier,Then cook rice paste with vinegar and pound it together with the chicken meat in a wooden mortar until extremely fine, forming pills the size of a paulownia seed.
