Benefits
Before childbirth, if a woman has accumulated cold energy internally, it may lead to irregular movement of the bladder during labor, followed by postpartum urinary retention, abdominal distension as if a drum, and confusion with loss of consciousness.
Instructions for Use
Apply salt to the mother’s navel, filling it to the level of the navel. Then, tie the white parts of the scallions into a bundle, slice them into pieces one finger thick, and place them on top of the salt. Use a large moxa cone—about the size of the scallion cake—to moxibustion the area. When the heat is felt penetrating directly into the abdomen, urination will resume immediately.
