Drug Formulation

8 liang of Huai Shengdi (steamed with wine, then pounded into a paste), 4 liang of Goji berries (soaked in wine), 4 liang of Chinese yam, 3 liang of Moutan bark (with the woody part removed), 3 liang of Poria (steamed with milk), 4 liang of Cornus fruit (steamed with wine), 2 liang of Cypress seeds (roasted), 2 liang of Rubus fruit,Alisma 2 liang (hairs removed), Schisandra berries 2 liang, Dodder seeds 3 liang (washed thoroughly with water, steamed with wine until soft, pressed into a cake, baked dry, then ground into a fine powder).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Take 8 liang of honey and 1 liang of deer antler gelatin; first dissolve the gelatin in the honey. Mix 4 liang of floating wheat flour and 4 liang of euryale seed powder with water, then add this mixture to the honey-gelatin mixture and cook until thoroughly blended. Combine with the herbal powder, pound with a pestle over a thousand times to form pills the size of a paulownia seed.
