Drug Formulation

30 jin of raw Rehmannia root (pounded in a wooden mortar to extract its natural juice), 1 jin of raw dried Rehmannia root (roasted), 1 jin of prepared Rehmannia root (roasted) (ground into powder), 4 liang of deer antler gelatin (roasted until dry, ground into powder),Hemp seeds (ground) 4 liang, dried lacquer (pounded into powder, stir-fried with a few drops of vinegar until the smoke has completely dissipated) 4 liang, licorice (roasted, coarsely chopped) half a jin, apricot kernels (peeled, tips removed, double kernels separated, ground) half a jin, honey half a jin.

Processing

Grind all the above ingredients into a fine powder. First, combine 1 dou of ash-free wine, fresh Rehmannia root juice, and honey in a silver vessel and simmer over low heat, stirring with a willow branch. Just as the mixture begins to form a paste, add the powdered herbs and continue simmering together. Once the mixture is ready for pill-making, shape it into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 30 pills per dose, gradually increasing to 50 pills. Take on an empty stomach or before meals, washed down with warm wine from the East.
