Drug Formulation

Processed pine resin 4 liang, yellow beeswax 2 liang, myrrh (oil removed) 6 qian, frankincense (oil removed) 6 qian, herb ash 1 liang, verdigris 1 liang, white beeswax 4 qian, toad venom (steamed over water, ground, and mixed in) 3 liang, sesame oil 3 liang, musk (finely ground, added last) 3 qian.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Using mulberry wood fire, first heat the sesame oil in a pot until it comes to a rolling boil; next, add the rosin and wait until it simmers slightly; third, add the white wax and wait until it boils; then add the yellow wax and wait until it boils; next, add the frankincense and wait until it simmers slightly; add the myrrh and bring to a boil; immediately add the verdigris and bring to a boil again; add the Hundred Herbs Ash to the pot and bring to a boil several times;then stir in the toad venom and musk; immediately turn off the heat. Allow the mixture to cool completely, then roll it into strips and form into pills the size of a longan seed. Store them in a clean porcelain container to prevent air from entering.

Instructions for Use
