Instructions for Use

Select a dairy cow that is at least 10 years old, is currently nursing a calf, and is thin in build. Each day, mix 1 liang of ground white quartz with soybeans and feed it to the cow; after 7 days, it will begin to produce milk. Each morning on an empty stomach, drink 1 sheng of the mixture while hot; use the remainder to make congee, which may be consumed at will with no dietary restrictions. It is best to begin this regimen in early May; however, it may be used at any time if urgent. The vegetable garden fertilized with this cow’s manure is excellent for providing food to those taking the milk.
