Drug Formulation

1 liang 5 qian of Cyperus rhizome, 1 liang 5 qian of raw Corydalis tuber (do not roast), 1 liang of Aconite root, 1 liang of Guangxi Frankincense, 1 liang of peach kernels, 8 qian of Sichuan Magnolia bark, 8 qian of dried tangerine peel, 8 qian of green tangerine peel, 6 qian of frankincense, 6 qian of myrrh (cleaned and oil-free), and 3 qian of natural musk.

Processing

Grind each of the above herbs into a fine powder. Boil glutinous rice into a thick paste to form pills, each weighing approximately 1 qian. Make 100 large pills per batch and coat them with cinnabar.

For epigastric pain, abdominal pain, and hard, knotty masses that may develop into abdominal or intestinal abscesses.

Instructions for Use

Take 1–2 pills per dose; just before taking, crush them into small pieces and swallow with warm aged wine; do not chew them finely. For those unable to drink, take with Amomum decoction.

Note

Contraindicated for pregnant women.
