Drug Formulation

Talc (ground into powder) 1 liang, Tussilago flower 4 liang.

Processing

Pound the Tussilago flowers into a coarse powder, place it in a sand-lined box to line the bottom and cover the top, place the talc in the center, seal the box tightly, and bake it over a charcoal fire (5 jin) until it turns completely red. Allow it to cool, then remove it. Discard the Tussilago ash; retain only the talc powder and grind it extremely fine. Separately, take 2 liang of finely ground Tussilago powder,3 qianbi of wheat flour, and 1 bowl of water, and dissolve them together. Simmer over low heat until it becomes a thin paste, then mix in the talc powder from earlier until uniform and form into pills the size of a tung tree seed.

Instructions for Use

Before bedtime, roll one pill in raw vegetable oil until dry, then swallow it.
