Chinese Name : 黎洞膏
Drug Formulation
20 liang of sesame oil, 30 pieces of castor bean (hairs removed with a porcelain shard, then crushed), 8 pig gallbladders, 5 qian of notoginseng, 1 liang of old duck gallbladder, 1 liang of wulingzhi, 6 qian of Phellodendron bark, 5 qian of Coptis, 3 qian of Scutellaria, and 3 qian of rhubarb.

Processing
Boil the above ingredients until charred, strain out the residue, and boil again until the oil forms beads when dropped into water. Add 10 liang of stir-fried Huangdan, 4 liang of Huangzhan, and 2 liang of Baizhan; stir evenly. Remove from heat, then add the fine powders and 2 liang of catechu,7 fen of frankincense (oil removed), 7 fen of myrrh (oil removed), 5 qian of dragon’s blood, 3 qian of realgar, 2 qian of gambir, 2 qian of borneol, and 2 qian of goat’s blood (all ground into a fine powder), and mix thoroughly into the previous ointment.
