1 liang of white alum (calcined until all liquid has evaporated), 1 fen of dried earthworm (roasted), 1 fen of cinnabar, and a small amount of musk.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; mix with wheat flour paste to form pills the size of a hemp seed, or smaller ones the size of a millet grain.

Instructions for Use

For severe cases of malnutrition with roundworm infestation, take 7 pills per dose; for mild cases, take 5 pills. Each day at dawn, first use one □ pill: soak it in a cup of hot water for one cooking cycle, then grind it into a paste with the tip of a chopstick. Use a cotton swab to apply the medicine to the nostrils; wait until the child sneezes three to five times, then dissolve the □ pills in boiled water and take them on an empty stomach.For scalp gan, characterized by a hard scab, dry skin, redness under the nose, or sores forming on the scalp, one must first apply the nasal remedy daily before taking the medicine. If the gan is located in the abdomen, causing uncontrollable diarrhea or dysentery, or resulting in undigested food resembling jujube blossoms, and the patient is constantly listless, begin treatment by applying the nasal remedy daily. Afterward, continue taking the medicine daily without the need for the nasal application. For regular use, take 1 pill daily.
