Processing

Combine the Rehmannia juice and the previous medicinal decoction—totaling 6 sheng—in a silver pot. In a quiet room, simmer over low heat until reduced to 1 sheng. Add the powdered mineral ingredients, stirring with a willow wood spatula, without stopping, until the consistency is just right. Remove from heat, then add the six ingredients including ox bile and stir until thoroughly blended. Immediately add the ground soapberry kernel powder and the water from ground rhinoceros horn, filter through cotton, and incorporate into the mixture. Then, in a mortar, pound vigorously with a pestle 3,000–5,000 times, as this medicine is extremely sticky, like glue.Once ground, divide the mixture into three equal portions. Add the aforementioned芒硝 to one portion, grind separately until uniform, and roll into pills the size of mung beans.

Benefits

For all types of wind disorders, locked jaws, and sudden death due to “corpse-like stupor”; or for those who have suffered from injuries from falls or blows for many years and experience pain on overcast days, rendering them unable to move.

Instructions for Use

For all types of wind-induced disorders, locked jaws, or sudden death due to “corpse-like stupor,” grind 2–3 pills with hot vinegar and pour the mixture into the mouth; if it passes through the throat, the patient will revive. For regular use, take 3 pills on an empty stomach with warm wine. For those suffering from wind-related diseases or injuries to limbs and joints—where movement has been impossible for 10 years or 5 years—simply follow the prescribed method: 10 pills will be effective; for severe cases, no more than 30 pills are needed. For those who have suddenly suffered a stroke or died from a severe illness, as long as the heart has not yet grown cold, take 5 pills, mix them with vinegar, and rub them into the navel over 1,000 times; warmth will gradually spread from the navel outward. Once the eyes open, grind 10 pills with hot vinegar and administer them; the patient will revive as soon as they enter the mouth; For any illness, regardless of severity or duration, first take 3 qian of Hongxue Tongzhong Powder with tea. After a considerable time, drink more hot tea to induce 1–2 bowel movements. Then, prepare a decoction of ginger and soybeans according to the prescribed method and take 3 pills with it. Have someone rub the affected area with their warm hands until the heat penetrates deeply; you will feel something like fire moving through the flesh toward the site of the illness; For those suffering from wind-induced disorders who have been bedridden for 100–200 days or up to one year, take 3 pills per dose; after 10 doses, they will be able to walk. For extremely severe cases, take 5 pills every other day after each bowel movement; wait 3–5 days, then have another bowel movement. Do not exceed 30 pills in total; the patient will fully recover. For those with long-standing injuries from falls or blows that cause pain on overcast days and render them immobile, this remedy has proven highly effective with just 5–7 doses. For those who take this medicine frequently, its efficacy persists even after the illness has subsided.
