Drug Formulation

Apricot kernels (with skin and tip removed) 2 liang, Arctium lappa seeds (roasted) 1 liang, raw gypsum 2 liang, Gardenia fruit (roasted) 2 liang, Trichosanthes root 2 liang, Perilla leaf (roasted) 2 liang, licorice 4 qian, Trichosanthes fruit peel 2 liang, ephedra 4 qian, indigo powder 1 liang, clam shell 2 liang, Belamcanda rhizome 1 liang, white mustard seed (roasted) 4 qian,Asarum 2 qian (the above 14 ingredients total 18 liang 4 qian; grind them together into a fine powder, sift through a sieve, and measure out 18 liang 4 qian of the fine powder in total), Dragon’s Tail Incense 5 fen, Musk 2 fen.

Processing

Grind the above herbs into a fine powder, mix thoroughly, and form into pills using refined honey, each weighing 4 fen. Wrap each pill in 36 pieces of gold foil and seal securely with wax.
