Drug Formulation

A suitable amount of aged pine resin (remove the oil; if not completely removed, it may actually increase the pain. Take two new bricks, heat them to a very high temperature over a fire, line them generously with paper on both sides, place the pine resin in the middle, and press it 2–3 times; the oil will then be completely removed, leaving a white, frost-like substance).

Processing

Fill a pot with fresh river water and boil thoroughly; remove the resin, stretch and pull it, then soak it in cold water; change the water and repeat the boiling and stretching process nine times to remove the bitter liquid. Then melt it in a copper pot, grind it into a fine powder, and mix thoroughly.
