Processing

Remove the stems and leaves from the fresh Naoyanghua, extract the natural juice, and simmer it in a clay pot until it becomes a paste, similar in consistency to thick sugar syrup; grind the herbs into a fine powder, mix it thoroughly into the Naoyanghua paste, taking care not to let it settle at the bottom; use several large porcelain bowls, spread a thin layer of the mixture in each bowl, and dry them under the scorching sun; then transfer the dried mixture to a porcelain jar and seal it tightly.

Benefits

For boils, carbuncles, and swollen, toxic sores.

Instructions for Use

For swollen, toxic sores, mix the powder with wine to form a paste that is half-dry. Dip a brush in the mixture and first draw a circle around the red, swollen area. When the paste is nearly dry, draw a second layer inside the circle, connecting it to the first, then moisten the dried outer edge of the circle with wine. When the second layer is nearly dry, draw a third layer inside the circle, connecting it to the second, and again moisten the dried outer edge with wine. Each time a layer dries, apply another layer, leaving a small opening—about the size of a bean—to allow the toxic energy to escape. After completing the circles, keep the medicine moist with wine continuously; do not stop until half a day has passed. Wait for the medicine to dry and fall off on its own; there is no need to wash it off, and the toxicity will dissipate naturally.
