Drug Formulation
Forsythia (Lianqiao) 3 qian, Bupleurum (Chaihu) 2 qian, Pueraria Root (Gegeng) 2 qian, Raw Rehmannia (Shidi) 5 qian, Angelica (Danggui) 1.5 qian, Red Peony (Chishao) 3 qian, Peach Kernel (Taoren) 8 qian (remove skin and tip, crush with a pestle), Safflower (Honghua) 5 qian, Sichuan Magnolia Bark (Chuanpu) 1 qian, Licorice (Gancao) 2 qian.

Instructions for Use
Use one and a half bowls of water. First, decoct in a large pot until it comes to a boil several times. On days 1, 2, and 3, when the disease is in the upper jiao, select light and clear herbs; decoct for 6–7 boils. On days 4, 5, and 6, when the disease is in the middle jiao, select slightly heavier herbs; decoct for 10 boils.On the 7th day and thereafter, when the disease is in the lower jiao, select potent and heavy herbs; decoct for more than 10 boils, then pour the decoction into a small pot. Add water to the large pot, decoct again, and pour the decoction back into the small pot. Repeat this process until about half a bowl remains, then take the entire dose.
