20 liang of Peppermint, 20 liang of Indigo Powder, 20 liang of Dried Silkworm, 20 liang of White Alum, 20 liang of Pig Skin Powder, 20 liang of Coptis.

Processing

Coarsely grind the ingredients, soak them in the bile of 200 pigs until thoroughly saturated, then sun-dry and grind them together into a fine powder. For every 16 liang of this fine powder, add 4 qian of borneol and grind them together until evenly mixed.

For swollen and painful throat, single or double tonsillar abscesses, trismus (inability to open the mouth), and inability to swallow liquids.

Instructions for Use

Take 1–2 fen at a time and blow it into the throat, 3–4 times daily.

Note

Avoid spicy foods.
