Formulas Name : Motherwort Decoction Pills
Chinese Name : 益母草煎丸
Drug Formulation
2 jin of motherwort, 2 jin of Artemisia annua,1 handful of peach twigs (1 chi long), 1 handful of willow twigs (1 chi long) (finely chop the above 4 ingredients; add 1 dou of children’s urine to a silver cauldron and decoct until reduced to 3 sheng; strain out the residue and simmer into a paste), 2 liang of Bupleurum root (core removed), 1 liang of cinnabar (finely ground and washed with water), 1 liang of human skull cap (coated with butter and roasted until slightly yellow),2 liang of softshell turtle shell (coated with vinegar and roasted until yellow; remove the frills), 1 liang of wood fragrant, 2 liang of red peony root, 2 liang of rhinoceros horn shavings, 1 liang of licorice (roasted until slightly red; chopped), half a liang of musk (finely ground), and 5 liang of peach kernels (soaked in hot water; remove the skin, tips, and double kernels; grind raw into a paste).

Processing
Grind the above ingredients into a powder; mix with a decoction of Motherwort and pound into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.
