Drug Formulation

Ginseng (root tip removed) 1 liang, licorice (chopped) 1 liang, white atractylodes 2 liang, white poria (peeled) 2 liang, magnolia bark 3 liang (coarse bark removed, processed with ginger, stir-fried), aged tangerine peel (white pith removed) 1.5 liang, shenqu (stir-fried) 2.5 liang, barley malt (stir-fried until golden) 1.5 liang, Atractylodes lancea 5 liang (coarse bark removed, soaked in rice water).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; mix with water to form a paste, then roll into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

Instructions for Use

Take 30–50 pills per dose, washed down with warm ginger soup before meals; alternatively, they may be taken with congee broth.
