Formulas Name : Seven Treasures Pill

Chinese Name : 七珍丹

Drug Formulation

5 qian of Bile Star, 5 qian of Indian Curcuma, 1 liang of mild whole scorpion, 1 liang of stir-fried silkworm pupae, 1 liang of Cold Food Qu, 5 qian of cinnabar powder, 2 qian of purified croton seed powder, 1 qian of musk, and 5 qian of bright realgar powder.

Processing

Grind the first five ingredients into a fine powder; mix in the last four ingredients, grind until fine, and blend thoroughly. Use cool boiled water to form small pills the size of millet grains; coat each jin of pills with 1 liang of cinnabar powder.

Benefits

Effective for lactation disorders, indigestion, food stagnation, abdominal masses, bloating, abdominal pain, cough with phlegm, convulsions and spasms, and constipation.

Instructions for Use

For infants aged 3–4 months, take 3 pills per dose; for those aged 5–6 months, take 4–5 pills; for one-year-olds, take 6–7 pills, dissolved in plain boiled water.

Note

Do not administer to children with weak constitutions.
