Drug Formulation

2 sheng of lotus seed herb juice, 4 liang of pine needles, 4 liang of white bark from the Chinese paulownia, 3 liang of white bark from jujube roots, 2 liang of Fangfeng,2 liang of Chuanxiong, 2 liang of Angelica dahurica, 2 liang of Magnolia flower seeds, 2 liang of Ligusticum wallichii, 2 liang of Agarwood, 2 liang of Gentiana macrophylla, 2 liang of Phytolacca acinosa root, 2 liang of rhinoceros horn shavings, 2 liang of green bamboo bark, 2 liang of Asarum, 2 liang of Acorus tatarinowii, 2 liang of Vitex negundo seeds,Linglingxiang 1 liang, Gansongxiang 1 liang, Atractylodes macrocephala 1 liang, Aconitum carmichaeli 1 liang, White bark of Chinese juniper 1 liang, Liquidambar 1 liang, Raw Rehmannia root juice 5 sheng, Raw sesame oil 4 sheng, Pig bristle fat 1 sheng, Horse mane ointment 1 sheng, Bear fat 2 sheng, Schisandra chinensis seed oil 1 sheng.

Processing

Finely chop the ingredients and soak them in a mixture of lotus seed grass juice and raw rehmannia root juice for two nights; if lotus seed grass juice is unavailable, use 5 xiaosheng of raw rehmannia root juice to soak the herbs. Simmer over low heat with the fats and oils, stirring continuously, for nine cycles of raising and lowering the pot until the mixture turns yellow and forms a paste; strain through a cloth to remove the residue.

Instructions for Use

To apply to the scalp, first wash the hair with clean rice washing water, then apply the ointment to the hair and massage it into the scalp; wash the hair again, take 1 sheng of chopped white bark from jujube roots, boil it in 3 sheng of water until reduced to 1 sheng, strain out the residue, use the liquid to wash the hair, and then apply the ointment. Proven effective.
