Drug Formulation

15 jin of yellow ox beef (remove tendons and membranes; cut into pieces the size of chess pieces; wash several times with river water until all blood is removed; soak in river water overnight; the next day, wash 2–3 more times until the water runs clear; simmer overnight in high-quality, ash-free wine over alternating high and low heat using mulberry wood in a sand pot; remove and bake until dry—yellow pieces are best; discard any that are blackened or charred.For every 1 jin of ground beef, add 2 jin of the following herbs): 8 liang of Chinese yam (stir-fry with scallions and salt until yellow; discard the scallions and salt), 8 liang of lotus seed (remove the inner membrane), 8 liang of white Poria (remove skin and membrane, grind into powder, and wash with water), 8 liang of Euryale seed pulp (extract the powder),8 liang of white Atractylodes (if oily, no need to stir-fry), 8 liang of coix seed (stir-fried), 8 liang of white cowpea (shelled and stir-fried with ginger juice), 4 liang of ginseng (root base removed),fennel seeds (roasted) 4 liang, dried ginger (roasted) 2 liang, amomum (roasted) 2 liang, rock salt 4 liang, Sichuan pepper (seeds removed, roasted) 2 liang, licorice (roasted) 4 liang, dried plum pulp 2 liang (simmered to a thick syrup of half a bowl), japonica rice (washed, roasted until golden) 6 jin.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder, mix thoroughly with rice flour and ground beef, then take 5 jin of small red dates and 5 jin of strong wine. Simmer the dates until extremely soft, remove the skins and pits, mash into a paste, add 2.5 jin of refined honey, and combine everything to form pills the size of marbles.

Instructions for Use

Take 2 pills at a time, chewing them down with tea (hot or cold), 2–3 times a day; this will ensure you never feel hungry.
