Drug Formulation

3 fen of pine resin, 3 fen of Coptis (stems removed), half liang of Sichuan rhubarb, 1.5 liang of mercury, 1 liang of Scutellaria, 1 liang of Sophora flavescens (chopped), 1 fen of Cnidium monnieri, half liang of white alum (burned until all liquid is gone), and half liang of lead white (mixed with mercury, add a small amount of water, and grind together until all particles are completely dissolved).

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder. Mix with pork lard rendered during the twelfth lunar month, adjusting the consistency to the desired thickness.
