Drug Formulation

1 raw turtle (black variety), mercury oxide, musk.

From *De Xiao*, Volume 19.

Processing

Kill the black turtle, remove the meat, and retain the shell. Roast it in a bowl of sour vinegar until the vinegar is completely evaporated. Then calcine it until all white smoke has dissipated, preserving its inherent properties. Cover the bowl with a lid and place it on the ground to remove the fire toxicity. Grind it into a powder, mix in mercuric oxide and musk, and blend thoroughly.

Before application, first wash the affected area with scallion water until dry, then apply the mixture.
