Drug Formulation

1 wild boar’s stomach (washed as for eating), half a liang of ginseng (root tip removed), 2 qian of dried ginger (processed and coarsely chopped), 2 qian of Sichuan pepper (select whole peppercorns without seeds; lightly roast to remove moisture), 7 stalks of scallion whites (roots removed, sliced), and 2 he of glutinous rice.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a powder, mix thoroughly with the glutinous rice, and stuff the mixture into the pig’s stomach, sewing it closed to prevent air from escaping. Add 5 sheng of water and simmer over low heat in a pot until thoroughly tender.

Instructions for Use

Take on an empty stomach while still warm; follow with one medium bowl of warm wine.
