Drug Formulation
1 liang of chicken-heart areca nut (cut into fine pieces), 1 liang of cardamom (kernels only), 1 liang of white cardamom (kernels only), 1 liang of cloves (cut into fine strips), 1 liang of licorice root (cut into fine strips), half a jin of tangerine peel (white pith removed, cut into fine strips), half a jin of fresh ginger (cut into fine strips), and 2 liang of salt.

Processing
Soak the above ingredients in 2 bowls of river water overnight. The next day, simmer them in a sandpot over low heat until the liquid has evaporated, then bake them dry and store in a new jar.

Instructions for Use
Take one pinch per dose, chew thoroughly, and wash down with wine; alternatively, grind into a fine powder and take with hot water.
