Drug Formulation
1 liang of red arsenic, 3 liang of white alum.

Processing
First, place the arsenic powder at the bottom of a pot, spreading it into a layer the size of a pancake. Cover it with the alum powder. Calcine over a fire until dry, then remove. Calcine again over a high flame until red-hot. After cooling, grind into a fine powder. Add 1 qian of cinnabar, 1 qian of frankincense, and 1 qian of myrrh; grind all ingredients together until uniform, and set aside for later use.

Instructions for Use
When using, mix with saliva (if saliva is unsanitary, substitute with water) and apply to the hemorrhoid; cover with paper. Apply twice daily for a total of 5 days, then discontinue the treatment; the hemorrhoid will fall off within 10 days, at which point apply the Tissue-Regenerating Powder. Before applying the medication, protect the surrounding healthy tissue with the Hemorrhoid-Protecting Powder. If used for a fistula, form this powder into a paste using flour paste, air-dry it, and insert it into the fistula; the fistula will then fall out on its own.
