Drug Formulation

1 lotus leaf (preferably one that floats on the water’s surface; fresh ones are especially good), 1 liang of raw gypsum (finely ground), 2 qian of genuine antelope horn (decocted separately and mixed with the other ingredients before administration), 6 qian of Anemarrhena rhizome, 3 qian of cicada slough (with legs and soil removed), 2 qian of dried silkworm, 2 qian of golden-threaded Paris root (sliced), and 1.5 qian of powdered licorice.
