For cough and wheezing; also treats lung abscess and the coughing up of pus and blood.

Instructions for Use

Soak the herb in boiling water to remove the skin, then remove and sun-dry it. Lightly pound to remove the core, then grind into a paste. Place in an earthenware pot, boil with water until it forms a thin paste, strain through a cloth, add honey, mix well, and boil until thickened. Store in a porcelain jar. Take 3–5 qian per dose, morning, evening, or at midday, as desired, with boiling water or wine.
