Drug Formulation

1 sheng of raw rehmannia juice (if unavailable, use 3 liang and a half of raw dried rehmannia), 2 liang of rhubarb (chopped), half a liang of rhinoceros horn, and 30 peach kernels.

Processing

Add 3 sheng of water and 1 sheng of good wine; simmer over low heat until reduced to 3 sheng. Pour off the liquid, strain out the residue, return the liquid to the pot, add two and a half liang of raw lacquer, and simmer again until reduced to 2 sheng. Remove from heat, strain thoroughly to remove residue, allow to cool, and divide into 3 doses.

Stagnant blood syndrome.

Instructions for Use

Administer one dose; wait about half a day. If no blood has been expelled, administer another dose; wait until the bleeding has stopped before taking the next dose. If fresh Rehmannia root juice is unavailable, add an additional 1 sheng of water and decoct together.
