Drug Formulation

1 jin of rose root, 1 jin of prunus root, 1 jin of willow bark, 1 jin of burdock root (all finely chopped), 1 sheng of cocklebur, 3 honeycomb nests (split open), 1 liang of raw rehmannia root (sliced), 1 liang of cimicifuga, 1 liang of angelica (washed and sliced),half a liang of Lycium bark, half a liang of Angelica dahurica, half a liang of ground gallstone, 1 fen of ground refined copper powder, and 1 fen of ground musk.

Processing

Of the 14 ingredients listed above, first finely slice the first 6 ingredients, add 2 dou of water, and decoct until reduced to 5 sheng; strain through a ramie cloth to remove the residue. Next, add the Rehmannia, Cimicifuga, Angelica, Lycium bark, and Angelica dahurica, and decoct again until reduced to 2 sheng; filter through cotton to remove the residue. Simmer over low heat until it becomes a paste; while still hot, add the remaining three ground ingredients, stir until uniform, and store in a porcelain container.

Instructions for Use

Take a piece the size of a marble and hold it in the mouth; let the saliva flow out.
