Drug Formulation

10 jin of sesame oil; 30 cun of locust tree branches, 30 cun of apricot branches, 30 cun of mulberry branches, 30 cun of peach branches, 30 cun of willow branches, and 30 cun of tender branches (soak for 3 days before adding the following ingredients); 2 liang of agarwood (place in a pouch and warm with body heat to dry; do not expose to fire);2 liang of child’s tea, 3 liang of genuine dragon’s blood, 5 qian of borneol, 2 liang of elephant skin (sliced, stir-fried with realgar, and ground into a fine powder), 4 liang of genuine realgar, 5 qian of belamcanda, and 1 liang of genuine amber.

Processing

Grind the above ingredients into a fine powder; when the mixture is slightly warm, stir it in until thoroughly blended.

Instructions for Use

When ready to use, melt the mixture over a water bath.

Note

However, do not apply this to carbuncles, as it may disperse the yellow pus; avoid exposure to fire, as real arsenic trioxide disperses upon contact with fire.
