Drug Formulation
2 liang of umbilical cord, 2 liang of Angelica sinensis, 2 liang of Aconite root (peeled and with the navel removed; used raw), 3 liang of Cinnamon bark, 1 liang of Notopterygium root, 1 liang of Ligusticum root, 1 liang of Qilin’s blood,Black Snake 1 liang, Frankincense 1 liang, Wood Fragrance 1 liang, Dipsacus 1 liang, Raw Rehmannia 2 liang, White Angelica 1 liang, Pangolin Scale 1 liang, Hedgehog Skin 1 liang, Peach Kernel 1 liang (soaked in hot water, skin and tip removed), Strychnos Seed 2 liang, Apricot Kernel 1 liang (soaked in hot water, skin removed), Lithospermum 1 liang, Thorn Needle 1 liang, Willow Twig 1 liang,1 liang of Sophora japonica twigs, 1 liang of red peony root, 1 liang of white Polygonum, 1 liang of Saposhnikovia root, 1 liang of Asarum root, 14 stems of scallion whites (with roots), 1 liang of beeswax, 1 liang of alum, 1 liang of distilled agarwood, 2 liang of camel fat, 3 liang of mutton fat, 20 liang of lard, 5 liang of clear sesame oil, and 3 sheng of yellow丹 (roasted until purple).

Instructions for Use
First, simmer the pig fat, sheep fat, and camel fat in a large pot over low heat to extract the clear liquid; remove the dregs. Then add the sesame oil and simmer until it boils with small bubbles like fish eyes. Next, add the four ingredients: thorn needles, willow twigs, locust twigs, and scallion whites.Simmer until the mixture turns a golden brown, strain out the residue, then immediately add the herbs such as *Tian’e* and *Qi*. Simmer over charcoal for 7 days, then strain through cotton to remove the residue. Return the mixture to the pot, immediately add the *huangdan*, and stir continuously with a willow twig until it turns purple and reaches the desired consistency. The ointment is then ready and should be stored in a porcelain jar. Each time, spread a thin layer on paper and apply it to the injured area.
