Drug Formulation

3 jin of colophony (boiled first in ginger juice, second in scallion juice, third in white impatiens juice, fourth in rice wine, fifth in poplar catkin juice, sixth in pharbitis root juice, and seventh in red vinegar), 3 jin of tung oil,4 liang of Sichuan Aconite, 4 liang of Wild Aconite, 4 liang of Atractylodes, 4 liang of Cinnamon Bark, 4 liang of Dried Ginger, 4 liang of White Mustard Seed, 4 liang of Castor Bean, 8 liang of Human Hair.

Instructions for Use

Combine all the above herbs with the tung oil and simmer until the herbs are completely reduced and dissolved, and a drop of the mixture forms a bead when placed in water. Strain out the residue, add 4 liang of cowhide glue and melt it in, then use the previously prepared rosin to gradually thicken the mixture. Remove from heat, add 1 liang of camphor and 3 qian of high-quality musk, and spread the mixture onto thick paper. Apply to the affected area.
