Chinese Name : 少阳丹

Drug Formulation

4 liang of Atractylodes lancea (remove the black skin, chop into chunks, soak in whey overnight, remove, rinse 7 times with well water, dry in an oven, then stir-fry), 3 liang of fennel seeds (stir-fried), 2 liang of Aconite root (remove the skin and pith, soak in whey for one fu-shi, remove, boil in a separate pot of whey, slice, and dry in an oven), half a liang of cinnabar(ground into a fine powder for coating).

Processing

Except for cinnabar, pound all the above herbs into a fine powder; mix with a paste made from wine and boiled flour to form pills the size of a tung tree seed; coat with cinnabar.

Take 20 pills each time, on an empty stomach or before bedtime, with warm wine or salted broth.
