Drug Formulation
Half a liang of Angelica sinensis (washed), half a liang of red peony root, half a liang of Lycium barbarum, 3 qian of Wood Fragrance, 3 qian of White Angelica, 3 qian of bee hive, 3 qian of Tuoseng (ground),14 Mu-bie seeds (crushed), 19 apricot kernels, 2 liang of yellow丹, 14 croton seeds, 3 qian of dragon’s blood, 1.5 qian of mercury oxide, 1.5 qian of frankincense, 1.5 qian of myrrh, 1 piece of human hair (the size of a chicken’s egg), half a jin of asphalt, half a jin of white gum resin, and half a jin of sesame oil.

Instructions for Use
Take 49 branches each of southeastern locust and willow, each about the length of a chopstick, along with 10 other ingredients such as Angelica sinensis and Wood Fragrance. Simmer them together with sesame oil in an earthenware pot until the mixture turns black, then strain out the residue. Next, add bitumen and white gum resin; melt them completely, strain out the residue, and return the mixture to the heat to simmer again. Add Tosa salt and yellow丹, stirring continuously with a willow branch until the mixture does not disperse when a drop is placed in water.Allow to cool slightly, then add frankincense, myrrh, dragon’s blood, and mercury oxide, stirring until well blended. Transfer to a porcelain container and bury it in damp soil to remove the heat toxicity. Burying it in winter snow is particularly effective; preparing it during the 12th lunar month is especially beneficial.
