Chinese Name : 脾寒丹

Drug Formulation

Orpiment, any amount (roasted over a fire until purple), and slow-roasted single-clove garlic.

From *Yilin*, cited in Volume 5 of *Jizhong Xinbian*.

Processing

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder; on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month at noon, form it into pills the size of a Paulownia seed.

For all types of malaria.

Instructions for Use

Take 7–8 pills each dose; on the day an attack is expected, swallow them in the morning while facing east and rinsing with running water.
