Drug Formulation

Sichuan pepper (seeds removed, sweated) half liang, fennel (roasted) half liang, cardamom half liang, cloves half liang, wood fragrant half liang, nutmeg (wrapped in flour and roasted until fragrant) half liang, aconite root (roasted, skin and navel removed) 1 liang, white atractylodes 1 liang (for the above two ingredients, add 4 liang of ginger, boil in vinegar for about 10 boils, then bake until dry).

Grind the ingredients into a fine powder.

Instructions for Use

Take 3 qian per dose. Use 2 liang of wild boar liver or mutton liver, sliced into pieces and split open. Mix the powdered medicine into the interior, then wrap it in 2–3 layers of good-quality paper. Simmer over low heat until the liver is cooked. Remove, chew thoroughly, and wash down with warm wine. Take three times a day, at any time.
