Drug Formulation

1 fen of snake shed skin, half liang of dried toad, 1 fen of dried earthworm, 1 fen of snail (place these four ingredients in a porcelain box, seal it tightly with clay, and heat over charcoal until it turns bright red; stop heating immediately, let it cool, remove the contents, and grind into a fine powder; then add 1 qian of orpiment, lightly roast it, and grind together), half qian of ground cloves, half qian of asafoetida (finely ground), and 1 fen of cinnabar (finely ground).
