Drug Formulation
1 liang of exposed bee hive (chopped into small pieces), half a liang of snake shed skin (finely cut), half a liang of Scrophularia root (finely chopped), 3 fen of genuine Astragalus root (finely chopped), 1 liang of genuine apricot kernels (peeled, tips removed, and lightly crushed), 5 liang of yellow丹 (preferably from Guo Prefecture), and a quantity of mixed hair from young boys and girls (thoroughly washed and sun-dried) the size of a chicken egg.

Processing
First, place 1 jin of genuine sesame oil (do not use rapeseed oil) in a cauldron, then add the hair and simmer over low heat until the hair has completely dissolved. Next, add the apricot kernels and strain out the residue;return the mixture to the pot, add the remaining ingredients, and simmer until golden brown; strain out the residue again; then add the yellow丹, and once the color changes, stir with a new willow wood whisk for 5,000 strokes. Drip a small amount into water to check the consistency; once it is just right, pour the entire mixture into a porcelain jar. If it is not yet firm enough, stir 300 more times.

Instructions for Use
Apply as usual: change the dressing twice a day and once at night. For any ulcer that has ruptured and formed a head, first wash the area with a cleansing solution, then apply a thin layer of this ointment.
