Drug Formulation

1 liang 5 qian of Qianghuo, 1 liang 5 qian of Jiancan, 1 liang 5 qian of Cao Wu, 3 liang of Duhuo, 3 liang of Chuan Wu, 3 liang of Ma Huang, 3 liang of Gui Zhi, 3 liang of Wuyao, 3 liang of Fangfeng, 3 liang of Danggui, 3 liang of Liangjiang, 3 liang of Jingjie, 3 liang of Xiaofengteng, 4 liang of Naoyanghua.

Processing

Chop all the above ingredients into small pieces. Use 10 jin of sesame oil to decoct the herbs together until they are completely charred and withered. Remove from heat, allow to cool, and strain out the herbal residue. Re-boil the oil until a drop of it forms a bead when dropped into water. Add 6 jin of finely ground Dongdan, stir evenly to form a paste, store in a porcelain jar, and apply as needed.

Instructions for Use

For the Five Labors and Seven Injuries, generalized pain in tendons and bones, and weakness in the lower back and legs, apply patches to both Gaohuang points, both Shen Shu points, and both Zusanli points; for phlegm-induced wheezing, shortness of breath, and cough, apply patches to the Fei Shu, Huagai, and Tan Zhong points; for left-sided paralysis and right-sided weakness, along with numbness in the hands and feet, apply patches to both Jianjing and both Quchi points;For men with nocturnal emissions or leukorrhea, and for women with red or white vaginal discharge, irregular menstruation, or menorrhagia and metrorrhagia, apply to both Yin Jiao and Guan Yuan acupoints; for dysentery with red or white stools, apply to the Dan Tian acupoint; for malaria, men should apply to the left arm and women to the right arm; for lower back pain, apply to the Ming Men acupoint; for small intestine hernia, apply to the Bladder acupoint; for unilateral or bilateral headaches, apply to the Feng Men acupoint;For heart-qi pain, apply a patch to the Zhongwan acupoint; for wandering qi, apply patches to both Zhangmen acupoints; for cold-damp beriberi, apply patches to both Sanli acupoints; for wind-induced pain, apply a patch directly to the painful area. For all cases of unexplained swellings and abscesses, scrofula, leg sores, stubborn syphilitic sores, trauma from falls or blows, and masses, there is no need to locate specific acupoints; simply apply a patch to the affected area, and the condition will be cured.
