Instructions for Use

Grind the ingredients into an extremely fine powder. First, add the medicinal oil; next, add the yellow丹; stir continuously with peach, willow, and locust branches. Then, add the natural copper, Bletilla, white mulberry bark, Bletilla striata, and Shaofan in two batches;in the third batch, add Wood Fragrance, Amber, Benzoin, Frankincense, Milk Resin, Lac, Myrrh, and Incense Nodes; continue stirring until the mixture turns black and water droplets form beads that do not disperse; pour into a earthenware bowl and soak in water for 2–3 days to remove the fire toxicity; then leave it on the ground for 3–5 days for best results; apply as needed.If you wish to make gold-thread plasters, grind all the above herbs into a fine powder. Take 1 jin of clear, pure rosin and melt it in a cauldron; filter it through a palm fiber strainer. Add 4 liang of clear vegetable oil and boil it thoroughly; then add 1 liang of orpiment and boil together until water dripped onto the mixture forms beads. Remove it from the water, mix with the herbal powder to form a plaster, and soak it in water, changing the water once a day; in winter, change it every three days.
