Toon Bark Ointment

Chinese Name : 椿皮膏
Drug Formulation
Toon tree bark (preferably that which has been buried in soil; remove the coarse outer layer and use only the white inner bark) 2 jin.

Processing
Chop the above ingredient finely, place it in a pot, and simmer in water. Strain out the residue, then simmer over alternating high and low heat until it becomes a paste. Spread the paste thinly on a piece of bleached cloth.

Instructions for Use
First, rub the affected area with ginger to remove grime and grease; then warm the ointment over a fire and apply it to the mass. There will be slight pain at first, which will subside after half a day; wait for it to fall off on its own. Sprinkling a small amount of musk on the ointment before application yields even better results.
