Formulas Name : Wax Ointment
Chinese Name : 蜡脂
Drug Formulation
3 sheng of Isatis oil, 1 liang of Atractylodes sweet, 1 liang of Lingling fragrance, 0.5 fen of Magnolia flower seeds, 2 sheng of White Atractylodes, 0.5 fen of Asarum, 1 sheng of Bamboo shavings, 5 he of sliced bamboo leaves, 0.3 fen of White Poria, 0.3 fen of Artemisia flowers, half a sheng of sheep marrow (soaked in water, red veins removed, and refined), and 0.1 fen of musk.

Processing
Chop the ingredients, wrap them in cotton, soak in wine for two nights, wring out the wine, and simmer in animal fat over low heat until it boils. After about three days, when the fragrance is at its peak, the ointment is ready. Refine beeswax until it turns white; when the ointment is nearly done, add the wax to adjust the consistency. Store once it has set to a porcelain-like hardness.
